Adele continued a phenominal year of awards success – picking up a Favourite song of the year award for her smash hit ‘Hello’
Meanwhile the Biebs scored the Favourite Male Singer trophy, while Jennifer Lawrence got a Movie actress gong.
The show is famous for throwing buckets full of goo at celebs as they take to the stage.
But Adele, Biebs and J-Law managed to escape the grunge – because they didn’t show up.
Not so lucky were ex ER heartthrob John Stamos, Frozen superstar Josh Gad – aka Olaf – and girl group Fifth harmony, who all got all brightly coloured and gooey onstage.
Adam Sandler was cheered on by his children as he collected the award for favourite animated movie for Hotel Transylvania 2 and dedicated it to "the greatest brother anybody could have".
Meanwhile Inside Out star Amy Poehler was named favourite voice from an animated movie for her performance as Joy.
Collecting her orange blimp award, she said: "I'm so happy to have been in a movie that talked about how funny our feelings can be and how OK it is to be both happy and sad at the same time."
After thanking her two sons for bringing her happiness every day, she added: "If Joy was here she would say, 'I'm so excited that I won this!'."
